The Resistenza park

The two grand ginkgo bilobas on the south side of Villa Gandini are the symbols of the park. The park surrounds this magnificent neo-classic villa. The tree specimens are almost 500 and there are more than 60 species of flora, both exotic and native.

The historical section of the park contains majestic beeches, fine samples of silver pines, a cedar of Lebanon. There are several units of yew and box. There are also pools where you can watch several acquatic fauna species such as swans, ducks, turtles and fish.

In the park you will also find the Environmental Education Centre “Il Picchio”, the Local Library for adults and children and the Youth Centre “Centro anch’io”.

The park is equipped with tables and benches and a café. There is a broad parking area in the near piazza Ravera. Open all days.
